Project Superintendent

We are looking for a self-motivated, assertive, and organized Project Superintendent. As leadership onsite, our Superintendent must be clear, communicative, and committed to the team. At Ouellet, we are known for organized, well-run job sites. The Superintendent is directly responsible for executing at our level of commitment and precision while building relationships with contractors and customers.

This position is eligible for a $5,000 bonus as part of the hiring package (details will be discussed during the interview and hiring process).


  • Minimum 10 years of construction experience in Maine
  • Located in Central, Coastal or Southern Maine
  • Experience with organizing and leading self-performed work
  • Willing to pitch in with their hands as needed (not required, but preferred)
  • Previous experience as a construction superintendent or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of local and national quality, safety, health guidelines
  • Knowledge of local and national building codes
  • In-depth understanding of commercial construction operations and processes
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to lead and inspire
  • Familiarity with Procore is a plus
  • Creative, able to see what needs to be done and see how it could be done better


  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, etc.
  • Supervise staff and provide constructive feedback
  • Monitor and report on project progress
  • Plan inspections with local authorities
  • Implement safety and quality guidelines
  • Procure the appropriate equipment and arrange for regular maintenance
  • Keep track of material stock and orders
  • Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly
  • Resolve on-site issues and emergencies
